Our company was started in 1947 by R.J. Slessor as R.J. Slessor Insurance and in 1972 we became Slessor and Periard Insurance Limited with Leon Periard becoming President with the retirement of Jack Slessor. In 2005 Leon will be entering his 50 th year in association with the company he helped build with Jack Slessor. In 1977 Steve Periard entered the brokerage as a sales representative and became President in 1998.

Our brokerage is a strong supporter of our local community organizations and charities. We are a member of both the local and provincial Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario and governed by the Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario. Each one of our licensed brokers is required by law to have continuing education each year and many of the staff have completed advanced insurance course.
